How to become a member

To become a member of Wado Ryu Cross training club you will need to do the following:

A Karate Suit (Gi) and sparring mitts: see details in Uniform

When you have decided that you enjoy the training, and would like to continue, you will need to purchase your license and insurance. This is to insure yourself and to be insured against personal injury, to the people that you come in to contact with. Cost £25.00 per annum and £25 to renew.

Paying a membership fee membership fee assists in the running of the club and also to part fund the events and competitions that we organize. The annual membership fee will be £10 for juniors under 18, and £20 for adults per year. Failure to pay the membership will in no way affect your rights as a student, but it will effect your right to make use of the subsidized events and also the merchandise that LWRA shares with it’s students.

Gradings are every 3 months and the grading fee is £20.00-£30.

We regularly attend competitions and a small amount of personal equipment will need to be purchased, and the entrance and transport fee is usually £15.00 - £20.00 per trip.

With regards to the training fee, this varies depending on the club that you attend. Speak to your instructor or refer to advertising.

All students must have their license and insurance up to date at all times. This is an important requirement for grading and instruction
